Hornet Golfers Take 2nd In 5-Team Non-League Match At Belles Springs

The Wellsboro Golf team made their way to Mill Hall for a non-league, five-team match hosted by Jersey Shore at Belles Springs Golf Course, where they finished 2nd overall.

The Hornets shot an aggregate score of 166, finishing 4 strokes behind Jersey Shore (162). Led by senior Syler Pietrzyk's round of 37, Wellsboro beat out South Williamsport (175), fellow NTL foe Cowanesque Valley (179), and St. John Neumann (190).

Freshman Jackson Largey posted a top-5 finish, shooting a round of 40 to finish 4th overall. Junior Logan Johnson (44) took 12th, junior Chase Schultz (45) was 16th overall, sophomore Benjamin Jackson shot a 49 to place 23rd, and sophomore Case Butler finished 26th with a score of 54.

The Hornets improve to 24-10 are back in action for their final NTL and regular season match this morning at Corey Creek.
