Hornet Golfers Take 3rd At River Valley

The Wellsboro Golf team had their best finish of the season after finishing 3rd at River Valley Country Club on Tuesday, September 12.
The Hornets shot a 359 and finished one stroke behind Wyalusing (358). Athens won the match with a round of 335.
North Penn-Mansfield (363) was 4th, Cowanesque Valley (366) came home 5th, Towanda (390) was 6th, and Sayre rounded out the field with a 658.
Senior Hannalee Cleveland led the Hornets with a round of 86 to finish 7th overall. Senior Hayden Zuchowski shot 90, sophomore Marek Mascho finished with a 91, freshman Syler Pietrzyk carded a 92, senior Silas Jackson shot 104, and sophomore Kiernen Whitsell came home with a 109
Wellsboro improves to 14-16 on the year with two league matches remaining. Next Monday they travel to Towanda Country Club.
