Hornet Golfers sixth at Towanda

The Wellsboro Varsity Golf team came home in sixth place at Towanda Country Club on Thursday, September 4.

The Hornets shot 412 as a team. Towanda won on their home turf as they shot 345. Athens was second at 352, and Mansfield was third with 381.

Senior Brett Kendrick led the way for the Hornets with a 91 on the day. Junior Tyler Kennedy shot 97, Junior Ryan Reese shot 110, Junior Stone Alexander had 114, Freshman Kyle Reese had 116, and Junior Charles Graner finished at 119.

The Hornets are now 6-18 on the year. The team will be back in action on Monday, September 15 as they travel to Tioga Country Club in Nichols, NY.
