Hornet Golfers 4th At Corey Creek

The Wellsboro Golf team took 4th overall in a full NTL league match at Corey Creek in Mansfield on Thursday.
The Hornets shot a combined score of 348, beating out Wyalusing (378), Canton (412), Cowanesque Valley (423) and Sayre (472). Towanda took home the win with a 329, followed by Athens (335) and North Penn-Mansfield (337).
Three Hornets finished with rounds of 90 or better, led by junior Syler Pietrzyk with an 84. Sophomore Chase Schultz had an 85 and sophomore Logan Johnson finished with an 88. Freshman Case Butler carded a 91, freshman Benjamin Jackson had a 102, and freshman Samuel Jackson rounded out the lineup with a 105.
Wellsboro hosts Jersey Shore at the Tyoga Golf Course in a non-league match this coming Tuesday.
