Northern Tioga hands Wellsboro first loss of season

The Wellsboro Golf team's undefeated regular season came to an end as they took home a 2nd place finish at Tomasso's Country Club on Monday, October 1.
Northern Tioga claimed the top spot overall for the first time the season with a combined score of 316. Wellsboro shot 325 to beat out Sayre (362), Athens (366), North Penn-Mansfield (372), and Towanda (396).
Seniors Ben Barnett and Brandyn Tuttle tied for 4th with rounds of 80 to finish 11-over par on the afternoon and behind the Indians' Austin Outman (71) and Tanner Adriance (72). Towanda's Tyler Hawley (78) finished 3rd overall.
Junior Ty Morral tied for 6th overall with a round of 81, junior Joseph Propheta shot 84 to finish 8th, sophomore Brock Hamblin finished with an 88, and freshman Dylan Abernathy shot a round of 105.
Next Monday, October 8, the Northern Tier League comes to Tyoga Country Club for their final regular season match of the year. Wellsboro is now 33-1 overall and 29-1 in the league.
